Sarah has been marketing officer and editor at V. Press since it was established in 2013.

Her past roles in marketing include marketing officer at St Peter’s Pre-School, Droitwich, from June 2008 to July 2009, and she was responsible for press coverage for the pre-school from January 2006 to July 2007.

Sarah’s other publicity-related roles include National Childbirth Trust Worcester & Droitwich Newsletter Editor through 2004.

As press officer for Birmingham-based charity Community Montessori (2001/2002), her work included publicising the charity’s work by sending out press releases, organising displays, such as a month-long stand at Birmingham Central Library, and taking part in open day events to raise the public’s awareness about the Montessori method of education and Community Montessori’s projects in Birmingham. She was also involved in researching the need for potential pre-education schemes and identifying sources of funding available to help set up such projects.

Sarah also has some experience of more general charity management and organisation, where the skills developed through her journalistic and PR work have been supplemented by the courses Sarah participated in while working for Community Montessori. These included training in fund-raising, the role of committees and general management of the charity.
She was also responsible for designing and setting up the Community Montessori website.

Sarah has a Graphics Design Specialization from CalArts (California Institute for the Arts) and is studying for a CIM level 4 Certificate in Professional Marketing (including a distinction level mark (94%) in the Marketing module exam December 2016). Other courses studied include Storytelling in Advertising with D&AD.
