Another busy week, another busy blog. And with an MA deadline looming, it also marks the start of less frequent posts for a few months.

It’s also a rattle-bag, rattle-through round-up of poetry bits and pieces.

First, publication of my poem ‘And When’ in Abridged 0-34: In Blue, which can be found online and downloaded for free here (page 24). It’s a beautiful art and poetry magazine, that I’m delighted to appear in.

This week I received a copy too of Drifting, a stunning anthology of poetry and art, where I am happy to have a poem ‘The Philosopher’s Magnum Opus’. Various versions of this are available (and I’m told the coupon code BEAUTIFULBOOK may give 15% off, expires Nov 30): Hardcover, premium paper; Hardcover, standard paper; Softcover, standard paper.

Also advance news that my poem ‘After the party’, from Be[yond], will be on Ink, Sweat & Tears on Monday, November 25. (This is a great site for daily poetry and reviews.)

Meanwhile, looking head to March now (!), I will be reading alongside some amazing West Midlands poets as part of Sarah Dixon’s The Quiet Compere Arts Council-funded national tour.

This will be at the Hexagon, mac Birmingham, Cannon Hill Park, Birmingham, B12 9QH on Friday, 21 March 2014. Tickets will be £3 and can be purchased on the door, as well as advance purchase from late December. Other poets included in the line-up are: Ddotti Bluebell, Charlie Jordan, Jenny Hope, Gary Longden, Bobby Parker, Ruth Stacey, Matt Windle, Laura Yates, so I’m really looking forward to this already!

Another event I’m looking forward to even more imminently is the Writing West Midlands’ Writer’s Toolkit in Birmingham this Saturday (November 23). As well as a chance to catch up with lots of writing friends, the programme is absolutely packed with interesting talks! More details can be found here. Maybe see you there! 🙂
